Around 20 years ago I walked into China to teach Quantum physics, but ended up with a persistent request from the foreign affairs department to lecture about the exciting world of British literature & American Culture. Such an offer was too beautiful to turn down & soon afterwards, hordes of students got their first taste of Belgian English. Not to mention my loss of face during many class sessions where students spoke beautiful BBC World English or with a Voice of America accent.

Since my initial (shy) steps into the magic world of literature, my partner & I have set up a consulting & law firm in China. We are both assisting Western & Chinese companies with their hopes and dreams to conquer the Chinese market or the world. And for those foreign companies, in an endless pursue of better margins, ending up in China we assist them through the potential mine field of misadventures littering the production and procurement process. Besides this, we have also specialized in Chinese labor law and assist companies with getting their employee issues under control or defend individuals who feel wronged by their employer. In other words plenty of entertainment to keep us here for another 20 years.
